-In the 17th meeting of our event, we are discussing the title DIVERSE + CITY , which is formed by the combination of the words “city and diversity”. (UIA2024KL-UIA International Forum/Kuala Lumpur topic)

Road, Building, place, border and point; were the five indicators that helped Kevin Lynch perceive the city.

However, in our rapidly developing memory, we see that these 5 indicators will not be enough to perceive and produce visions.

In parallel with Umberto Eco’s “unlimited meaning” theory that an absolute end can never be achieved with indicators, we propose to increase indicators and city elements under concrete and abstract headings.

With the principle of “BUILDING WITHOUT DESTROYING”, which we increasingly understand the importance of, we bring together concrete and abstract indicators and local and global factors with various permutations in order to preserve diversity.

Local and global factors;
-Cultural and architectural identity,
-Globalized culture of Architectural communucation,
-Different time zones and trends,
-“New environmental” and climatic conditions,
-Social and economical challenges,

In creating results and visions, we will receive help from artificial intelligence as well as traditional knowledge and memory-based working methods.
